How to Make

Step 1

First, in a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced potatoes to the pot and stir them well to coat them in the butter mixture. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, making sure the potatoes are fully submerged. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and easily mashed with a fork.
